This Ardore is made from a meticulous selection of 10 barrels of Cabernet Sauvignon from the most exceptional vineyard sites in Napa Valley’s Coombsville AVA. Aged for 22 months in 100% new French oak barrels, Ardore is never fined nor filtered.
At first glance the color is a saturated opaque black/purple. The aromatics offer expressive notes of brambly blackberries, dark raspberries, ripe strawberries, cherry liqueur, graphite, wild sage and licorice. Hints of quartz dust, dried wildflowers, incense, black cardamom and mocha add further dimension. The palate is elegant and restrained; offering layered flavors of blackberry, black cherry and black currants. These flavors echo throughout the finish. This Ardore is quite approachable now and will evolve over the years in the cellar.
